Oil pressure at zero after new sender

I have a 97 probe so it has a dummy gauge, but even after I replaced the oil pressure sender, it still stays at zero. My engine runs fine so idk what other things I can do. Could the wiring possibly be broken? I have thought about just leaving it there because it doesn't really do anything, but I might sell it soon so I'd be awesome to patch it up.
