Hello all. A little over a month ago, my car was involved in a rear end accident which required that the entire back-end be replaced and the frame straightened. I picked it up on Monday (7/3/17) and just now am noticing some horrible defects. All of the parts except for the trunk are brand new OEM parts. The trunk was sourced from a local salvage yard and has obvious chips, scratches, and bubbling paint on both sides of it which will eventually turn into rust. In addition, the inside of the trunk appears "wavy" at the corners and was obviously not prepped and painted properly. A plastic piece on the inside of the trunk will also not stay attached on one end and is loosely hanging. They also messed up one of the rear plastic pieces that goes over the wheel well which now has obvious scratches and it looks like they were hitting it with the end of a screwdriver given that it is also dented in some spots. This piece appears to also be "pushed out" since it is no longer flush with the rest of the car. What are my options in getting this fixed? I have already called the body shop that did the work and explained the situation to them and they told me to bring it in so they can "inspect it" since this has "never happened to any of the cars that they have repaired". It is worth noting that this auto body shop is very busy and is highly rated as well.EDIT: The repairs and the cost of a rental car were paid for by the other party's insurance (State Farm). via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2uLbYRY
