Bought a car with only Bill of Sale

I'm 19 years old, I'm a California resident and I just bought my first car about 6 days ago. I bought the car cash 2500. When I was sold the car the seller only had a bill of sale (Vehicle/vessel transfer and reassignement form) he also gave me a copy of the dmv vehicle registration information and I filled out a form (Application for title or registration). Question is, how will i go about getting the car under my name with no pink slip?
