Hi everyone, so I made a thread a while back about switching careers from carpentry to auto mechanics and pretty much everyone has said NOT to do it.So my question is, how else can I gain experience and become professionally skilled without starting an apprenticeship or going to school as so many of you say to stay away from?I want to go beyond just oil changes and spark plugs. I want to do engine rebuilds, suspension swaps, tuning, electrical, body kits etc. There's only so much YouTube and textbooks can do.P.S. I'm currently a carpenter. via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2sRLoW2
