If you were given USD $30,000 to buy a car you had to live with for 10 years (new or used) - keeping in mind maintenance costs, reliability, and insurance - what would you buy and why?

This is a topic I feel like can spark a good discussion if done properly. The deal is, you're given $30,000 to buy whatever you want (new or used), but you have to keep/drive the car for 10 years. That means you need to consider maintenance/repair costs, gas costs, insurance rates, etc. For example, that E55 AMG from the OneTake yesterday might not be a great idea since the repairs will add up quickly.I'd imagine most all of you will be similar to me and will want something that is still fun to drive/looks pretty/has decent power rather than going with the boring route of buying a Corolla, so let's keep it "fun cars" only for this thread.Let's see what you can come up with! via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2sqCPRG
