Help my family pick out a car...please!

So here's the deal my family is in between buying a 7 person van or a 5 person car. The thing is there are 7 people in my family. We've had vans our whole life but now we are all older. Also we are planning trips to Florida with our whole family in the car. So we want to buy a 5 person car, but we're wondering how is that gonna work with the trips.
