Recently picked up a MANUAL Porsche Cayenne GTS! (X-post /r/Porsche)

Photos for those who hate reading: http://ift.tt/2u0DXQF /r/cars, I thought you guys might enjoy this one. I've been longing to replace my awful Volvo XC90 for a while, but just couldn't figure out what I wanted to replace it with. I needed something to cart our two huskies around in and have enough cargo space to move larger items. I wanted a nice SUV, but also wanted something fun to drive and manual, so options were limited and nothing I could find really spoke to me.I considered some sport wagons, FJ Cruiser, Forester, etc, but ultimately found a super rare 6MT Cayenne GTS (2009). Being a life long Porsche fanatic, it's pretty much a match made in heaven. There were only about 4 manual GTS' for sale in the entire country, so I bought it sight unseen and had it shipped from Pennsylvania to Florida. The risk seems to have paid off as it's in great shape and appears to have been well maintained.More to the point though, I just can't get over how it DRIVES. This is a 5000lbs SUV that accelerates, stops, and corners like a sports car. The physics simply don't make sense. The manual transmission is nothing like the masterpiece in my GT3; it has a fairly long throw, but it's still a manual and still fun to row through the gears! The best part might be the sound though. In sport mode the exhaust valves open up and the 4.8L V8 sounds absolutely incredible; very much like a muscle car.Looking forward to some great road trips in it...if I can afford the fuel it goes through :-P via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2sIr9KW
