Picked up my first car yesterday!

Finally got to pick up my MT 2016 Corvette Stingray yesterday, after purchasing it last week.Took me a couple years to decide on the car I want when the opportunity arose. I was planning on getting a Lotus Elise which my parents don't really like, or a C6 Corvette for a long time. Only recently did the C7 become the preferred car, which is partially due to the parents increasing the budget for them, since they are much newer cars, still have warranty, etc. After around two weeks of searching on Autotrader and others I found it, it's pretty much to my exact preferred specifications. As far as options on it go, it's a Z51 2LT with magnetic ride, navigation, and the performance data recorder. It's got a little over 2k kilometers on it right now.I hadn't ever driven a manual before yesterday. Getting the car moving from a stop wasn't what I expected at all, I'm not sure how many times I stalled it trying to get it moving. Once I got it moving it became what I expected though, never had any issues with upshifting or downshifting while moving. The brakes on the car also surprised me. The first few stop signs I came up to I thought I was doing something wrong with the manual, because of how violently the brakes threw me forward. I got used to using the brakes much more finesse quite quickly.Another thing that was surprising me was the amount of people yelling out for me to rev it, etc. Only happened a few times, but I drove it for less than an hour in total. The attention is definitely something I'm not used to.Anyways, here's a picture from just after when it was purchased: http://ift.tt/2tJoLr3'm going to go back into the garage now. via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2sqzkLH
