Opinions on inevitable transition to electric cars?

I mean don't get me wrong Its good to make a move to make Earth cleaner but in terms of cars its going to stink if your a car enthusiast. I love the rumble of a great exhaust system or the growl of a v8 engine. I don't think electric cars can deliver that goodness even if they can still deliver speed and feel.
