R32 GTR owner: AMA

I'm somewhat new to reddit and thought of this as a way to contribute a bit.I bought a '90 R32 GTR from an importer. It had light mods and I set it back to stock before selling it. I am now completing a restoration of the chassis for the new owner.I own another of the same year that I imported myself from Canada. When I bought the first car I thought it would blend in a little bit as a completely stock nissan but I was wrong. I couldn't pull the car out of the garage without being stopped and asked questions about what it was, performance, driving the RHD, importing, registration, legality, specs, and how wrong Doug Demuro was.Feel free to ask any relevant questions here.I'll start off with some easy ones: 1. No, "State legal" doesn't mean its legal and nearly every R33 or R34 you see in the US could be confiscated by CBP even after they become legal to import.Driving the RHD is easy. Shifting is easy to get used to. Switching the habit of looking up and right or down and left for the rearview and door mirrors (respectively) took longer to get a hang of. Passing cars on a back road without a passenger as a spotter is a deathwish. via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2vchm40
