Since BMW is adament on not adding a M version of its touring cars to its tsnuami of niche cars. It got me thinking if it was possible to swap M5 bits to an ordinary 5 series touring say for the F10/11 generation? Is there a huge difference to the unibody structure between a regular 5 series and a M5, that prevents the rear and front subframes with suspension bits from bolting-in on a conversion?I know that it would be quite expensive, but in the world of projects cars, more has been spent for less. I know that E90 M3 to E91 swaps have been done in multiple countries. via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2sECiAo

Hypothetical question: Is it possible to swap all M5 bits to a stock 5 series?
