So I think that slowing down efficiently from 40kph in a Hyundai Accent, where in 40,3rd is about 2000 RPM, is to rev match it into 2nd quickly(about 3k rpm) and then slowly coast to when the rpm drops to around 1000, and then use a bit of brakesMy brother thinks the best way is to slowly use the brakes, and coast to a stopLet's say both scenarios are over the same distanceI think that the extra gas is negligible in favor of brakes while my brother thinks it's wasteful.Who's right? via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2sN3cSN
