Do you need yearly safety inspections in Quebec?

Bought a used Honda Civic 2008 and it passed the safety, but on the ticket it says needs to go back in a year for another. Is this some standard procedure now? Not that I mind, I think it's important to get a set of eyes to verify your 2 ton asteroid's brakes and engine won't die on you.Thanks! via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2tJnsrJ
