Quick albums of the pictures I took along the way here.I bought my GTI used from Texas (so holes were drilled) a few years ago and finally got tired of having a plate bracket on the front of my car. Originally I planned on getting a set of Bumper Plugs and calling it good but after I took the bracket off I unfortunately saw five holes in my bumper. Due to the cost and the thought of having five "bubbles" in my bumper I decided to experiment with a little bondo.Overall I'm pretty happy with the results. The bumper repair bondo I used dried plasticky and did not sand well so the spots are not as smooth as I would have liked. My touch-up paint was also pretty old so it was tacky to the touch and stringy to apply. If I had any advice for anyone wanting to try this I would say try a different bondo than this and make sure your touch-up paint is in good condition. But all in all I'm pretty happy with the results. From a few feet away it looks alright. Now I just have to see how it all holds up over time. via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2tmmpO9
