it's a long story, but the condensed version is that my sister crashed her car on Saturday, so she borrowed my mom's to get to work today, and she had both passenger side tires blowout, and claims she didn't hit anything.these are fairly new tires, probably 2-3k miles on them, and at least on the front tire, the sidewall was shredded as if it had been sliced with a serrated blade.is it realistically possible for her to have done this without hitting something? her drive to/from work is on back roads that are almost all recently paved 30mph roads, with some having lower speed limits and a few potholes, but small ones.it just seems extremely fishy to me that she could destroy both tires at the same time without hitting something, yet still having such significant damage to the front tire. via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2ubVQwy
