Car is a 2007 Civic Si. Insurance company said it will cost 8k to fix. Damage is to front/right fender, door, suspension.Car has 4 brand new tires and a well maintained engine with 110k miles. I have a garage, but not too mechanically inclined, and usually have a propensity to cost myself a few bucks by taking the easiest route.Insurance company said the difference in settlement on whether I keep the car or not would be a few hundred dollars. How much money am I costing myself if I let them just have it? How hard would it be to sell the engine, tires, seats, whatever and then get rid of the rest without it being a huge pain in the ass? How much is the engine worth?I'm leaning towards letting them keep it because I'm getting anxiety thinking about how much a pain in the ass it is all going to be.I live in Las Vegas fwiw. via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2v8Pieo
