So I have a title for a car I have just received as a gift and while trying to derust everything before registering it, I have found that the strut tower has rusted half off. I need to take it to a dealership for the recall that is supposed to fix this but I dont want to pay for insurance and registration on a car that may be circling the drain. I talked to some people and they said that it's possible to just pay for a couple days of insurance and also not register the car just to get it down to the dealership and figure out there if it makes sense to fix it. They said that I would need to have the temp insurance and title on hand if I got pulled over but that I should be fine. Anyone have any source on this? I don't know what terms to google. If it helps, I live in New Jersey. via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2v6oZFM
