Advice on if it's time to switch cars...

Hello all,I hope this is the right place/this post is allowed, if not, my apologies. My current car, a '99 LS1 A4 Camaro (~150k miles) is beginning to become quite the hassle. It is my first car and I got ~5 years ago. Back in HS it was great because the only issues that would come were minor, and I had plenty of time to fix it. I also had the time to install mods such as LT headers, LS6 intake manifold and others.Recently however, things have really taken a turn for the worse. I'm at college now, and I simply don't have time to keep up with all the issues. I've had to recharge the AC and fix a vacuum line. These weren't bad as I fixed it myself. The drivers side window randomly stops when going up sometimes, the shocks are terrible(originals), sail panel is starting bubble, and there are random squeaks/rattles that are annoying. Power steering hose essentially blew out (was practically pissing fluid) and cost around ~$250 to replace. The real kick in the nads however is the rear end. It's on its way out. It has a loud drone/whine and is definitely on it's last leg. Estimated cost to repair was ~$900-1100. Obviously I'm approaching whats left in the value of the car with just the rear end repair. My original plan was to graduate college, move to a city, and keep the car at my parents house for a couple years. Then once I've settled in financially, overhaul the car. New built engine/trans/rear end. With all these issues coming up, I'm beginning to think I should just call it quits on the car. I see cars going for sale in a price range I can afford that are wayyyy better than my current car. Then I get in my rattle trap, whining car and really want to just sell it.Anyone been in a similar situation or just have any general advice on what y'all think I should do? Thanks via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2txhtnP
