Winter tires question..

I have a second car that is in need of tires. I am questioning whether to buy summer or winter tires for the car.The car is going to be daily for the next ~12-24 months. The car only has about 20-30k more miles on it before I tear the engine out for a project and replace the car entirely, so the tires do not need to last longer than that.I am going to be getting these tires, and driving from Michigan to Denver, where I will then be living and working. Its a ~1900 mile drive to Denver, I will likely make this trip(with this car) twice in the summer.I am going to get cheap tires, that is without a doubt. However, should I get cheap all seasons, or cheap winter tires? It is about $300 for the all seasons, or $400 for the winter tires. Can the winter tires make it 20-30k over a year or two? It worries me that there are no warranties offered. Will I be fine commuting on newish all seasons in the Denver winter? via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2tuMDPt
