What are your hopes for the near-future of the auto industry?

By near future, I'm thinking no further than 10 years. Personally, I'm hopingthe 7th gen Mustang loses a few hundred pounds, both in terms of actual weight and appearance, and is better looking than the weird 2018 faceliftthe Camaro is given windows instead of port-holesthe Supra isn't ruined with awful design (see: Prius), and is available in a 6MT/RWD/6 cylinder trimthe new RX-7 defeats emissions regulations, is allowed to exist, and aims to be fun instead of pursuing lap timesthe new STI makes a huge leap in performance once it ditches the old EJ enginethe new Z-car isn't a crossoverNot that I need all these to happen, I'd just like some good choices by the time I want a new car. Anything in particular you're hoping for?EDIT: formatting via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2tqfXXr
