Question about MB internet connectivity

I just bought an MB GLE 350. I didn't pay for the Mbrace subscription nor for enabling the car's WIFI.The car's dash GPS is dynamic (meaning real-time traffic and accident data). The salesman said it's fed from a Sirius/XM channel. However when I load Waze on my iphone the data is identical to what the car's GPS is showing, making me think the car is connecting to the internet and using Waze traffic data.So here's the question: how can I tell if the car is connecting or not? If it's receiving data, what's keeping it from transmitting data? I could easily see MB selling data like what stores I'm parking at, or selling my driving stats to the insurance industry.I don't really care if the car is receiving data, but I'd love to know if/what it's uploading.
