Need some advice on buying and selling used cars.

I noticed in my area many people list crappy old cars for cheap on the local classified looking to let them go ASAP probably cause they need cash really quick. I saw a potential business opportunity where I buy these cars off people looking to make quick sales then re-sell them for some slight profit because i am in no rush to sell.Only problem is im 17 and dont really know the procedures of buying a used car when it comes to the paperwork side of things.
