I'm looking at a 1992 Volvo 240 sedan, there are a few problems with it.. should I buy it?

I didn't know where I should post this, but here's the story:My brother is selling a 1992 Volvo 240, it's been sitting for two years (but only six months at his house) but he needs it off his property before he moves so he's asking $1000, I'm in need of a car but I want my money to be well spent. So here's the details: it has 213k miles, had one other owner, no radio (which is fine because I was planning on putting one in anyway), needs to be flushed and oil changed and more than likely new tires. Is $1000 a reasonable investment?On a side note, is the car worth driving from Alabama to the otherside of Atlanta to pick up and drive back? via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2t8T8EV
