I am looking to buy a used 4Runner (for my wife's car). I drove one at Carmax, but didn't love that exact one. They also made an offer on her Tucson, which was better than the 4 other dealerships we've visited. I found one matching exactly what we want (2014+, 4wd, non-limited trim, heated seats, black, less than 50k miles) in Cleveland. The transfer fee is $700 (which I am not psyched about, but willing to accept, especially because we will get about a $600 tax credit by trading her Tucson). My biggest hesitation is the fact that I would have to pay the $700 up front and I feel like that is a gamble. The salesperson assured me that they would check in Cleveland to make sure there aren't any scratches that I can't see in the pics, it doesn't smell like smoke etc). Has anyone been in this situation? Is this a huge gamble? Last question/long shot: Is anyone reading this near that dealership and willing to check it out for a fellow redditor? Thanks in advance for any input! via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2saWHgl
