Can a mechanic tell if a used low mileage, late model car was "broken in" poorly? Does it still matter how it was driven by the original owner?

(My apologies if this was asked before.) When shopping for a used, low mileage car is there some way a mechanic can tell if the car was cared for or driven sensibly. Does it still make a difference how a car is driven the first few thousand miles? Can a mechanic tell if servicing was neglected? I appreciate any thoughts on this. via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2tCw7tu
