I have a 2004 Audi S4 and recently, my catalytic converter started throwing an error on startup and so my check engine light is on when I drive. I am electing not to fix it since the car is older and I don't want to put more money into it (~$2200 to fix it). The only issue is that since the check engine light is always on, I won't know if another issue starts happening. I was thinking of buying an ODB II code reader so that I can check it myself.
