A review of a MK4 VW Golf R32 (following from my last post)

So I'm driving with a co worker to the next town along, over country lanes. He says 'I've got a tasty one for you' I was quietly interested but couldn't give to much away because for some reason in this trade your not allowed to say you really enjoy driving and actually find cars pleasing, surely the whole reason you got into it? You have to say your not arsed about anything basicly because god forbid if you enjoyed anything about your job!Anyway turns up, golf R32 sat there, I knew these cars were quick so I was buzzing, but outwardly calm. Then my colleague actually tells me to 'nail it' back to the garage. However the owner said don't thrash it (like he should have to ask, I mean come on, we are professionals here) because the rear tyres are bald.I gently take the car out, slowly drive up the road round to corner and then I just put my foot down, wow,I'm in 3rd gear and I can feel the fucking wheels spinning!! This was probably only because of the tyres, remember the r32 was four wheel drive but wow. I loved this car! It was savage, 3.2 in a golf! Now of course I didn't go full Jason Plato but It cornered well, you could really throw it in. It had a sense of safety like it was telling you, don't worry your okay just drive me a little harder. Oh you little temptress. Those Recaro seats nestling you into what could very easily be your final resting place if you took to the cars advice. The speed was stupid, id never driven something that threw you back into your seat like that before. If I owned something like this I'd be dead in a fucking week!So I get back to the garage and creep into the yard like I'd been driving like your average church goer all the way home. It was clear I hadn't. I got out and you can just tell when a cars been battered, I was ticking, like the metal that had expanded because of the humongous heat coming from the engine was contracting again I don't know. The brakes steaming away because I stupidly drove it through a puddle. You could tell. But nothing came of it. The mk4 in my opinion, probably because I've owned one, only a 1.6 like, is good looking car with a great stance so for me I couldn't ask for much more this car gets a 4/5. via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2t5EhLl
