I've been looking for something to check my car for stored fault codes. I haven't noticed anything serious, I'm just curious and trying to avoid taking the car to mechanics with small things like this. Problem is, it seems like the 1999 MK1 Focus won't communicate with a common OBD2 scanner. The car was manufactured (I believe) in Germany so there's some difference compared to the American version. After digging up the internet I managed to find a possibly working cable/software, but I need confirmation that it's not money wasting.cablesoftware: FORScan (Android or Windows doesn't matter) via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2uVKJEp
