I purchased my 71 Chevelle SS when i was in high school in 2009. Last summer, while finishing up college and working full time, I decided to pull it out of storage and make it my daily driver. At first it was great. When i had time off from class and work, my roommates and I would go cruise around Kent (Ohio) and the surrounding areas, go to car meets with local rich kids, and even occasionally race. But, as you would expect, after around the second or third month, fuel prices caught up, and the car started acting up. Luckily i worked at a dealership, so i was able to use the facilities after hours to work. Ended up with an all new ignition assembly, headers, and a bent rim.In retrospect, it was not the greatest idea, but it was a blast when things went right. You also learn to appreciate modern amenities like AC and fuel injection. Oh, and cheaper tires. But hey, smoke em if you got em. via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2tzyJv6
