So, what's the oldest wearable part you've pulled from a vehicle that still functioned as if it were new?

Was working on my truck today, upgrading the brakes which necessitated swapping spindles. While I was in there I pulled the ball joints and steering linkage as I knew that in the ~15 years and 220K miles I've had it they've never been changed.Pull them out and I realize that the factory retaining pieces and such are still in place.348K miles, just shy of a quarter century old truck and the factory steering linkage still held an alignment and the play in the steering wheel was within factory specs. I'm mildly amazed. via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2tYU1SG
