I want to convert a work van as my first car... And my first house...

Yes, you heard me right. I want my first car, to also be my first house. My name is Gavin, I'm 14 years old (turning 15 next month), and I get my temp license in February of 2018, I will move out of my parent's house HOPEFULLY when I'm 18 or 19, and I want my first car to also be my first house.Lately I've been watching many, many videos about people who have gone completely off the grid and live in work vans that have been completely redone to be cozy homes on wheels. You may be thinking "Well, why not just by an RV?" and the simple answer to that is I don't trust myself enough to handle large vehicles safely. Plus I've always been fiercely independent.. So much so that I would never borrow my friend's toys to play with when I was younger for the soul fact that if I couldn't keep it I didn't want it. With that independence came a constant need for personality. It wouldn't offer the same personality.I've always been weird like that.. Anyway, I need a van that meets the following criteria, and who better than /r/Cars to help me? :) 1. Relatively inexpensive - I need something that has a good possibility of just being a 1 time payment. I want to give someone the money, and then I want them to give me the van and I want it to be mine. 2. Needs to be built for time - The idea for this van is that I'll be living, travelling, and working in it until I'm out of college, so it can't be something that will break down easily or need a lot of maintenance. 3. Needs to have room, but not be too big. - my musts are that it must have enough room in the back for a < twin size bed, a sink, a mini-fridge, a sink/kitchen and MAYBE a little bit of room for an extremely small shower, however it can't feel like I'm dragging around a Boulder whenever I shift into drive because it'd make me a nervous wreck... Literally. My wants are that I can stand up inside of it, but if it won't work with the rest then that will come second. 4. At least half-decent gas mileage - Pretty self explanatory. 22 mpg at the minimum. If there's something out there that can fit all of my needs, then I would be thrilled to find it :) Thanks in advance! - Gavin P. S. I'm not a car person whatsoever, so if you could explain the technical side of everything to me like I'm 4 that would be great via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2sgETN3
