What do you do when someone tailgates you?

Serious question. I had someone tailgate me so bad today they almost rear-ended me twice while I was going the speed limit. AND THEN they were the one mad at me. Not to mention they tried to pass me illegally on a double solid line. It got so bad that I ended up going down a side street so it would stop.When this happens, part of me wants them to rear end me or let them continue to tailgate me ... but you never know who's behind the wheel. Chances are if they tailagate you pretty bad they're a dangerous person and I wouldn't take the risk of them pulling out a gun or knife.So what do you do when someone tailgates you?
