Sold my car privately, had to debate with buyer about filling out the title properly

Just got done making a deal and I want to be sure I'm covered properly if anyone could lend some thoughts. I recently put my car up for sale locally and someone who texted me agreed on the price and said he'd be by to pick the car up. I sold the car for parts / repair only as there was some significant damage to the body which would need attention before the car could be road worthy.I created a bill of sale with all of the appropriate information (VIN, make, model, date, etc) and we both signed it. He goes on to ask me to sign the title over to his business which is a car dealership. Once I began to sign the title over, he asks me to leave the price field blank. I tell him I can't do that and that I need to fill the title out completely. We go back and forth but I insisted I need to put a price down which matches the bill of sale. He wasn't pleased with this but I felt a little better about covering my ass.Couple of questions:-Given the car was sold for parts / repair and it's not likely the car is going to be registered any time soon, does the photocopy of the title and the bill of sale cover me if anything should happen involving the car before the title is transferred?-The buyer, in the "buyer's name" field of the title, put his business' name and signed his own signature. The bill of sale reflects both his name and the business' as the buyer. Should I have any concerns with this? Should his personal name have been in the buyer field?I'm probably just being overly cautious but wanted to get some other folks' thoughts. Thanks for reading. via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2sZDgqv
