In many years, will electric sports cars be anywhere near as popular as sports cars of the past 50 years?

I was thinking about this, and I don't think they will be. Eventually, it is almost guaranteed that there will be electric sports cars that perform as well or better than gas powered cars.However, a lot of the experience of driving will be lost. No more shifting, no more exhaust notes. Imagine flooring it out of a corner and just the sound of a box fan essentially. Thoughts? via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2se0Xf0
