How are engines connected to tube frame cars?

I'm planning to build a replica lamborghini huracan with a tube frame and fiberglass body completely from scratch in the near future, but I'm sort of new to all of this. I was wondering how exactly I would hook the engine up to the car. Would I attach it directly to the shaft with a chain like a go-kart or use some kind of drivetrain?
