Friend held the starter for about 3-4 seconds, how much damage could have been done?

Car is a 2008 Civic Coupe, 5 speed. Her first car is a push button start and she has never driven anything else that has a manual starter. She found out I have a manual and wanted to turn the car on to see how it is and held the starter for about 3-4 seconds.I didn't immediately notice as I was standing outside, and because of the cold start I didn't hear the nasty sound that comes with holding the starter. via /r/cars http://ift.tt/2tX7jvX
